WhereNxt ("WhereNxt," "we," "us") is operated by The Hohman Group, LLC. This
policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices
you have.
Information we collect
Account information — your email address, or your
Google/Apple account identifier, if you sign in that way.
Location — your device's GPS location, used to find
gems near you. We never sell this data, and it's requested by your
device, not sent through a third-party location API unless you type in an
address instead of using your current location. If you turn on Live
Location Sharing, your location is also shown to the friends you've
connected with, for the time window you choose — you can turn this off at
any time, and it's never on by default.
Contacts (optional) — if you use "Find from
Contacts," we read the phone numbers in your device's contacts to check
which of them already have a WhereNxt account. Your contacts are never
uploaded, stored, or shared with anyone — matching happens by checking
each number, and only real matches are shown to you. Your own phone
number (if you choose to add one) is stored only so contacts sync can
work both ways; it's never shown to anyone else, only matched.
Activity you create — gems you save, check-ins, and
activity shared with friends you've connected with in the app.
Push notification token — a device identifier used
only to deliver notifications you've opted into.
Subscription status — whether you have an active
WhereNxt Plus subscription, and when it renews or expires. Apple (or
Google, on Android) handles your payment directly — WhereNxt never
receives or stores your card details.
How we use this information
To power gem recommendations, sync your saved gems and preferences across
devices, enable the friends/social features you opt into, send notifications
you've turned on, and verify your subscription.
How we share information
Google Places API — receives only your location and
search terms, never your identity, to find nearby venues.
Apple App Store / Google Play — used to verify
purchases and manage subscription renewals.
Firebase / Google Cloud — our infrastructure provider
for authentication, data storage, and notifications.
We do not sell your information to advertisers or data brokers.
Your choices
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from
Profile → Delete Account inside the app. This is permanent and removes your
saved gems, friends, activity, and preferences. You can also disable
location access or notifications at any time in your device settings.
Data retention
We keep your data only as long as your account is active. Deleting your
account removes it immediately.
Children's privacy
WhereNxt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
